permanent holiday is one that falls on the same day every year, like

are ones like Easter, Memorial Day or Labor Day that fall on different
days each year.

Making data backups:
If you do not want to backup to whole disk you can copy all or some of
of the data files depending which ones that you have added data.
Here is a list of the file names:
1. "cal.data". It has 366 records. Each record is 310 bytes. It holds
the daily data records.
2. "diary.data`year'". Each time an entry is made into the diary one
record is added to this file. Each record is 520 bytes.
3. "diary.index`year'". Each time an entry is make into the diary one
record is added to this file. Each record is 2 bytes. This contains
the month and day of the diary entry into "diary.data`year'".
4. "cal.symbol.dat". This file has 12 records, 32 bytes each. This file
tells calendar where to put the symbols for each month.
5. "pay.scedule". This file has 18 records, 39 bytes each. This holds
the data for the payment scedules.
If you make copies of files:
1. Copy "cal.data" and "cal.symbol.dat" in tandem. (Do not copy one
without copying the other.)
2. Copy "diary.index`year'" and "diary.data`year'" in tandem.
If somehow you loose "cal.data" or want to start up a new data base,
Amiga Calendar will initialize a new "cal.data" and a new
"cal.symbol.dat" if there is not one on the disk. This will take a
couple minutes to process.
